Residents of Likoni Sub-County have pledged overwhelming support for Mama Amina Abdalla’s bid for the Mombasa County Women Representative seat in the 2027 General Election, citing her focus on women empowerment, youth development, and inclusive leadership.
The commitment was made during a grassroots engagement between the Warembo na Mama Amina team and residents of Bofu Ward, where community members, women leaders, and local supporters gathered to discuss leadership, development priorities, and the challenges affecting families in the area.

The meeting brought together residents who shared their views on the need for effective representation, economic empowerment, and increased participation of women and young people in leadership and decision-making.
Participants said women and youths remain critical players in the country’s development and called for more initiatives that create opportunities, improve livelihoods, and strengthen community participation in development programmes.
Speaking during the engagement, Mama Amina Abdalla called for deliberate efforts to empower women and young people, saying their inclusion in leadership and economic activities is essential for building stronger communities.

She said women should be supported through programmes that promote economic independence, skills development, entrepreneurship, and leadership opportunities.
“When we empower women, we strengthen families and create communities that can achieve sustainable development. Women should be supported with opportunities that allow them to contribute fully to society,” Mama Amina said.

The aspiring Women Representative also emphasised the importance of investing in the youth, noting that young people require support through education, skills training, innovation, and job creation opportunities.
“Our youth are the future of this country. We must invest in their talents, provide opportunities, and ensure they have a voice in shaping the direction of our communities,” she added.
Mama Amina said leadership should focus on addressing challenges affecting ordinary citizens by promoting programmes that improve living standards and create equal opportunities for all.
She urged communities to remain united and work together in supporting initiatives that promote inclusion, economic growth, and social progress.
The Bofu Ward engagement comes at a time when political activities are gaining momentum across the country ahead of the 2027 General Election, with leaders and aspiring candidates intensifying grassroots outreach.

Supporters at the meeting expressed confidence in Mama Amina Abdalla’s leadership agenda, saying her focus on women, youth empowerment, and community development reflects the priorities of many residents in Likoni and the wider Mombasa County.
They pledged to continue mobilising support at the grassroots level, saying stronger representation is needed to champion the interests of women, youths, and vulnerable groups.
The engagement concluded with a call for unity and continued participation in shaping the future leadership and development agenda of Mombasa County ahead of the 2027 polls.
