Learners from schools across Kwale County combined literacy and fun as they participated in sports activities during the Read Aloud event held to celebrate National Reading Day. The event brought together Grade 4–9 learners, who joined their peers across Kenya in reading the same passage under the theme “Human–Wildlife Coexistence.” Besides promoting reading fluency and comprehension, the activities encouraged teamwork, confidence, and healthy competition.
